This blog ain't meant for those people I know - unless they happen upon it - it's meant for YOU... I simply want to share some of my experiences I've had in life; and hopefully at the same time lift up the spirits of those who happen upon this blog.

Bad moments

Bad moments and times and things tend to energize us. With that in mind, why do we hate these times? These times make us strive to do better, they let us recognize our downfalls...When was the last time you appreciated a 'bad moment' or 'bad' moments? I appreciate them all the time.

Very well the equipment could be you...

They're the little things that make life much more interesting. You go on a date to a carnival... and you don't feel like shelling out $20 and neither does she for parking. You start walking and it starts pouring rain. That's not a bad moment. It's a moment to consider the different possibilities, and get closer to each other.

I may not like every bad moment as it happens..but, you can't know good without knowing evil. You can't know what it is to feel dry if you've never been wet. It applies to everything. I may not have appreciated the last two months of heartbreak, but in the end, it was a good thing. I've learned a lot about life. And tomorrow, all of the heartbreak will be resolved and become a good gooey chocolate bar (most likely), or a polar bear snuggling around his gasoline container. Or Coke bottle. Either or.

Finns

That one moment, was at Recess. Annd I was in the middle of a game of tag, was running on the playstructure. Ya know, that thing with all the slides, and bars, and woodchips, and pointy things. Well, I ran off of that thing, and a ball landed next to me. A football.

I picked it up and was then informed by someone named Tyler that they were a player short, and they asked if I could play. Well, I didn't know what (american) football was. I was in 4th grade! So I went through: Actually learn how to play this new foreign sport, or continue having fun running around chasing and being chased?

Well, I ended up picking the lazy route and continued tag for whatever reason. Now, these two crowds of people really are like the two types of people at my school now, very generally speaking. I've now disassociated with most of these people (a few I still do), so it doesn't affect me now. But for all those years, that one choice would have completely altered my life.

For the better or not, I do not know. I would have been hanging out with different people. My interests would be different. I dunno who I'd be if I had taken that route. But, that's because we have free agency down here on earth given  to us from God. We can choose good from evil, or in this case, good or good, and we do what we want, paying for the consequences whatever they may be.

I'm thinking I chose the right decision for me.

FYI: I actually didn't learn how to play (American) Football till last year. It's pretty fun to play. I HATE watching it. For me that ain't my kind of fun. I can care about who wins in the end, but it's just football...
What I do care about however, is what we Americans call Soccer. I really hope I come back from my mission soon enough to see the next World Cup! I always cheer on Switzerland and Finland. Switzerland...well, they are good people from what I hear. And, the Finns because I am part Finnish!

This is one of my favorite sports:

EDIT: Of course, Brasil will probably have a pretty good line-up for the next World Cup...

4th grade - Life Decision?

4th grade. That was a long time ago. That happened to be the year in Soccer that we lost every single game. For our last game, our coach had every single one of us play offense. Even the goalie...and we still didn't score any goals. But, something happened that year that would change my life forever.

One small moment, one seemingly small decision. That moment has impacted my life until recent months...

Nice Kicks

These outward appearances that we are all so concerned about just don't really matter. Yeah, you got nice kicks...

 yeah, you look beautiful...

but that's not what really what attracts you to a person. It's not what's here, or there, or this, or that. It's your mind, your soul, what your true intentions are. That's what we should find attractive in someone.
