This blog ain't meant for those people I know - unless they happen upon it - it's meant for YOU... I simply want to share some of my experiences I've had in life; and hopefully at the same time lift up the spirits of those who happen upon this blog.

The fence

Ah yes. The proverbial fence that sits between good and evil, yet another thing we've all heard about.

You could also think of it as a highway. Like ACDC's 'Highway To Hell' Song.

But, there is a problem with it. It doesn't exist.

Hahahaha, know I have a huge sense of humor :)

No matter what in life, you are either on the good side, or the bad side. You may unintentionally be on the wrong side, however, as the saying goes, "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions."

Good ol Wizard of Oz

But you know which side your sitting on. The dead grass, or the alive grass.

See, the grass really is greener on the good side of the fence! And it's well kept :)

...But, as usual, there is always a 'gray area'. Take for example, James Roday's character, Shawn Spencer, in the TV show Psych. He lies all the time, which is usually considered a bad thing, but how I'm looking at it... to what end is he doing it?

Love this show, it gets so ridiculous at times xD

The gray area is called a gray area for a reason. But, he is clearly on one side of that proverbial fence. The green grass side, as he's catching criminals using his 'psychic powers'. He may be lying to the average person, but that however, is something that will eventually have to be reconciled... probably in Season 7... At least I want him to tell his girlfriend that in Season 7... He's still on a slippery slope however no matter what happens.

There's a gray area

But it also goes the other way around. You can do bad things for a good reason, but you can also do good things for the wrong reasons. But no matter what, your on one side of the fence.

In this TV show they do bad things to bad people for good reasons. It's a fantastic show.

P.S. Don't get this confused with the saying, "Good, better, best.", as that saying is all on the 'good' side.

I've always wanted one of these clear boards. Someday I'll get one.

Sin

There are so many ways I could cover this topic. I may have covered this topic already, but if I did then I am going to go ahead and cover it again.

I love these things. It says two things, one in the other.

So today one of my friends brought me to one of his father's neighbors...and they had both a pool and a trampoline.

Kind of like this, but not as beautiful. And with a trampoline.

Yeah. Not too many people had both. Annndddd their pool was all of ELEVEN feet deep! To add even more, their entire backyard was designed awesomely. Even with a full length basketball court (I would have preferred a volleyball court however). What also astounded me was their immaculately kept lawn and all their pets. They had three dogs, three birds, two bunnies, and lots of fish.

Two of their dogs looked like this... except one of the two was really huge.

One of their birds however was not a parakeet. That disappointed me, I'm gonna get one at some point in my life and teach it how to talk, sing, and play the piano. But they had two birds of some African variety, and a white cockatoo that kept trying to bite me! Lucky he never got me ah ha!

Cockatoo, their bite can hurt.

Anyways, to the topic of sin. One of their three dogs, Walter aka Wally, absolutely hates the water. It's believed that before he was rescued by these people that his previous owners had attempted to drown him. So, when I got on the diving board he just went stark-raving yoinks (figure out where I got that vocabulary from haha).

Some people are this abusive to their pets. Hard to believe, but it happens. He's now in a good home though.

Wally is passionately concerned for anyone whom he thinks might get into the water. So he barks like crazy. Anyways, later I was splashing my friend, Alex, and Wally started biting some of the water in the air. So I decided I'd play a game with him. I started splashing up the water toward him and he'd bite it. I did that for around twenty minutes attempting to get him into the water by slowly backing up, making him have to reach out farther.

If they wanted to get Wally in the water, this is what they would have to do. But then he would be barking the whole time.

It was only then that I realized if he fell in he would bite me and his outrageously long fangs would pierce my skin. It was almost too late. He nearly fell in but caught a leg still up and somehow stayed up...it confuzzled me but then at that point I decided I was done playing that game. Might as well stop playing while I'm winning, well really when I'm still fine and not in the hospital for a 'stab wound'.

I feel so sorry for this kid. But the memes they put in front of him are soo funny...

That's how Satan gets you. He slowly lures you in. Just do a little bit of this, a little bit of that, and before you know it...your completely immersed in the water.

No worries, there will be no drowning on my watch. I'm a certified lifeguard.

Reason: Find It!

Rephrase my last quote: "It's the worst times that bring out either the worst or best in us."

There's a reason behind everything. You just have to find it.

In Irish it says, "Reasons are behind everything that happens."

Long long ago (possibly right now, as time may not be linear after this life), we signed up for the life we have - and knew the many different pathways that we could take - we wanted to come down here. Every possible decision you could make, was pre-determined. But it's up to us not knowing that knowledge anymore, to choose what to do.

Yes, your dog biting your mailman's butt repeatedly is a decision your dog did not have to make. And you did not have to let him... You also did not have to let your dog run into your neighbors basement every few months but that's a different story. Haha, there was no stopping Clancy... he was huge and loved my basement for some reason :)

Up in the sky/heaven/pre-earth life we thought, "I want these challenges. I can do this." It's possible you even said, "Throw Lucifer himself at me." You may not have... but you never know.

One of the many personas of the Devil...

What we did not understand while up in heaven, was the experience of forgetting. We didn't know what it was like to forget. Everything. And FYI, that 'forgetting' is referred to as a veil... and was a good thing. At least for me :)

Here's a drawing that shows what I'm talking about. If you notice the absence of Hell, it exists, but Hell is different than what is commonly thought.

With all the pre-earth knowledge this life would most likely be a cakewalk. But, I think one of the most important reasons why we are here (aside from get tested) is this: we have the chance to re-invent ourselves. We have the chance to find out who we truly are, and who we want to be.

I believe I have blog posts essentially saying this.

What makes that hard each and every day is Lucifer, who uses God's own creations for nefarious purposes. And many fall victim. They've lost sight of who they truly are. A part of God. A child of God.

It's true. Nothing can really hurt you. Pain is just a reaction.

And that's why I'm leaving for two years, plain and simple. To give people the opportunity to remember that they are one of Heavenly Father's children.

I found a picture that provided a definition for a missionary: "A missionary is a person who leaves their family for a short time so others can be with their families for eternity."

Kids and other things

"It's those of us with the worst that know how to give the best." - From the archives of Ben

Take my quote how you want. But I believe it's true on many levels... of course, on some it's completely opposite, but it gives you something to think about...

I believe this was a commercial for insurance...

Okay, now to talk about kids and other things. Kids are one of the most often talked about subjects, yet are also one of the most neglected. Today, I will most neglect talking about kids but I will talk about them a little bit.

Suzeey, Apricot, Hillbilly, Cynthia (From Rugrats), and Chuckie the doll

My kids will most likely be quite messed up, buuutttttt they'll be super smart at the same time. How? Well, I teach them how the brain works.

Yup, there were two of these movies

I did quite a bit of research to train my own memory, and I'm still not quite at the level I want it to be. Maybe in a few years.

Yesssss

Back to my future kids, I probably have mild forms of OCD, ADD, ADHD... The list may be able to go on on 'diseases' whether made up or not, that I could possibly pass on to my kids.

And, well, I didn't learn left from right till I was nearly ten.. I figure I'll teach my kids left is right and right is left. That'll teach 'em. Haha :)

Left, right, right, left their all the same...

I won't think of any more 'mean' things to do to my future kids... I swear. Well, for today anyway. Oh, next post... okay, an eventual post to be realistic... Additions to my future house in California since I'll be stuck there the rest of my life :) ...it'll be a unique post most likely. I have very grand plans. I've spent hours thinking and finding these ideas haha...

Shake it up!
Shake up the happiness!
Wake it up!
Wake up the happiness!
Come on ya'll,
It's Christmas time...

If Today Was Your Last Day; Bucket List

My best friend gave me the best advice,
He said each day's a gift and not a given right,
Leave no stone unturned, leave your fears behind,
And try to take the path less traveled by,
That first step you take is the longest stride,

If today was your last day,
And tomorrow was too late,
Could you say goodbye to yesterday?
Would you live each moment like your last?
Leave old pictures in the past,
Donate every dime you have?
If today was your last day...

I thought about this recently. And I've seen people talk about if they knew that today was their last day, what they would do...

The Other Guys. I love this movie :)

So some guys that just robbed a bank use a military-grade zip-line to get away and then cut the line. So, Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson who were chasing them, look down and then at each other. One of them says, "Aim for the bushes." Then they fistbump.

So they jump off, aiming for the bushes.

Problem is...

There were no bushes.

Here's 'The Jump'
Haahahahaha xD

Anyways... But that's not what the song is talking about. The song is really saying live each and every day as if it's your last day. So always try to enjoy life. And I've decided to do just that. I've created a bucket list. It is nowhere near finished. I expect I'll always be adding to it (I may not always update it though).

My Bucket List
( as of a few months ago, my current updated one is where?; in no particular order)

0.

1. When married, start Christmas Tradition of Nerf Gun War, and go all out.

1.5. Get married

2. Catch a lightning bug in my bare hands.

3. Bury someone neck-deep in sand, and then go get an ice cream cone.

4. Swordfight at a department store on a skateboard.

4.5. Learn how to use a skateboard.

5. Throw or hoist a TV out a second or higher story window (will be done soon).

6. Make a Slip-n-Slide at least 100 feet long that ends in a pool.

7. Go to an airport, and buy the ticket to the first plane out.

8. Stand on top of a moving train.

9. Ride a dolphin.

10. Participate in an ostrich race.

11. Hug a panda bear.

12. Juggle one flaming torch, but learn to juggle one unflaming torch first.

13. Go to Detroit Boardwalk at 3 am.

14. Ride either a kangaroo or a polar bear.

15. Go to Iceland, and eat ice cream. They have 6% ice cream, and special grass that makes it very yummmy :)

16. Put blue Gatorade into a Windex bottle and spray it into my mouth in front of people.

17. Put Vanilla Pudding in Mayo Jar and eat in front of people.
Patrick Star: "Is Mayonnaise an instrument?"

18. Fly. Not in a plane. Not with a jetpack. Not in a videogame. Fly in real life, like as if I had a superpower.

19. Tell my kids the family story (read: I made up) of why we put an angel on the tree. Memorize the thirty pages though.

20. Jump into a moving car going at least fifteen miles per hour.

21. Go skydivin'

22. Be like Misha Collins. Aside from his fantastic acting, he does some great philanthropic work around the world and seriously cares :) I'd love to create a charity organization like he has some day :)

23. Whether right before or just a little after my mission, release an album with my own songs.

24. Visit "Radiator Springs."

25. Go inside the Pyramids in Egypt.

26. Swim with the dolphins.

27. Get in a classic car, and drive across the country. One coast to the other, no destination.

28. Publish a book. Just done for the fun :)

29. Do the Color Run.

Mr. Happy

So, in the black hole called my mind (as I remember nearly everything), I have been doing quite a bit of postulating. A lot.

It's a blessing and a curse.

On this particular subject, happiness, many philosophers have also postulated. Almost every major philosopher has. Plato. Aristotle. Socrates. Just to name a few examples. But, that's irrelevant to my point.

I thought it was hilarious ten minutes ago. I swear.

I've found out that so far in my life, I have not had true happiness. And it just could be that I am not destined to be happy in this life. I may not have the ability to feel truly happy whilst living.

I read these as a kid :)

Now how can I believe this? I must be crazy! But no, you don't know what my demons are and I don't know yours. Same as a guy in an asylum, you can't truly judge him. Your not him. You haven't gone through his experiences.

Insane Asylum

Now. At this point in my life I have not found true happiness. Will I someday? Will I reach that pinnacle of true happiness. I don't know. But one thing I do know, regardless of whether I'm happy or not, one of the reasons I'm here is to help others find some type of happiness. And I can find solace in that.

Well look at that. True happiness. I'm pretty sure he was smiling during the whole movie :) It may have been because of his father, but he was always smiling :)

Simply, it could just be that I'm not in God's presence any longer. We may have the holy ghost, holy spirit, or whatever you personally call it, but God is not always with us. And coupled with the fact that Satan would love to have his hands on me, he's trying hard to get me down. Especially since I'm leaving on a mission in two months. I'm hoping that three to five years from now I'll be over this happiness thing. Eric was right probably on when a certain thing would happen, probably sophomore or junior year of college. Still depressing it's so far away from now.

Only relevant picture I could find...

The bottom line is only you can ever know who you are, only you can make the tough decisions to be who you are or live out your life as is because of yourself, friends, family, or well, anyone. Whether the road you go down is painful or not, it's something you have to be at peace with. There is no one else that can live your life for you.

So at peace.

Dear future wife

I love you now and always will. I'll never stop. I won't ever say sweet nothings - they'll be sweet everything's as they will all be true (yes; deal with the corniness).

This seems like a picture my mom would love

I'll sing songs to you when songs are dead because the world melted or just because it's fun to sing songs, and when there's no hope left I'll give you something to draw inspiration from.

Did this once, but only with ten crayons... and it was done in someone's car.

Someday, I'll hold you for more than twenty minutes straight and that's all I'll do. I won't look at your face, pull away, or try to kiss you. Just hold you, without an ounce of selfishness.

So many cat memes out there, like this one.

I'll be there for you in the good times, but more importantly I will be there for the bad and the ugly. Even when you hate me for perfectly understandable reasons, I will constantly tell you how beautiful you are and I love you.

Well, you can always hope.

I'll cherish every moment with you. I'll drop anything, anytime, anyplace if you need me. Hopefully I'll have that 'spidey-sense' and just know I need to head home.

I hated those movies...but thought that was one of the best movie kisses out there, along with Phantom of the Opera.

And when I tried to find a picture that had to do with the words 'spidey-sense' I found this.

Beats the spiderman kiss. Definitely.

No matter what you do, have done, or will do I will love you and always will. I make this pledge, this promise, of my never-ending love. Amen.

And they lived happily ever after... until the next movie...
