This blog ain't meant for those people I know - unless they happen upon it - it's meant for YOU... I simply want to share some of my experiences I've had in life; and hopefully at the same time lift up the spirits of those who happen upon this blog.

If I were to die...

In life...we all strive to find love. Peace. Happiness.

But many times, we find sorrow, maybe even despair instead. For some reason all we want to do is look at the dark and lonely road. And after that happens, we try to avoid it - often times for so long that we don't realize we are actually stuck on that road. What many of us fail to realize is...being on that road is a good thing. But, as in everything, moderation is key. You can't know joy, without knowing sorrow. You can't know sorrow, without knowing joy. Humans are meant to be beings of emotion.

There is always something we can do when we find ourselves in a conflict. You can ALWAYS hope for a brighter tomorrow, and a better world for those who are yet to come. For without hope...we don't have much.

Friday, January 20

I have to get this off my chest. I've been following a training protocol since November, I can only eat meat, eggs, and vegetables, and I am in the best shape of my life (I'm only 18 tho...). There's still a ton of room for improvement but it's very promising.

American Psycho :)

What needs to get off my chest is I need to warn you guys about gluttony. Very bad. Actually, I would prefer to get it out of my stomach than off my chest now that I think about it. I have one hour a week (usually Friday or Saturday), where I can eat whatever or however much I want. Today, I totally pigged out. In an hour, I ate as many calories as Michael Phelps does in a day. Yeah. Except I only had a half hour of exercise. Not eating for a week sounds really good right now considering I had to crawl to get to this chair my stomach hurts so bad.

GLUTTONY = BAD

BAD = NOT GOOD

NOT GOOD = USUALLY DETRIMENTAL TO YOU IN SOME WAY

USUALLY DETRIMENTAL TO YOU IN SOME WAY = I'M NEVER GONNA DO THIS SAME THING AGAIN

You'll never get away with this, Black Helmet Man! You are bad! You are bad and we are good! Your badness will be the end of you, and our goodness will be our triumph! Bad is bad - good is good! Bad-bad-good-bad! Good-good-bad-good, bad! Good.

Yeah. And I'm leaving this as a testimony to ya'll  that I won't ever pig out this much again. Emphasis on too much. I have definitely learned my limits. And I went waaaaaayyyyyyyy over them. It's like comparing a GameBoy Color to whatever the newest creation from Nintendo is. (I'll add pictures to this post l8r this weekend, I need to fall on the floor and writhe in agony for ANOTHER 6 hours).

Story time

You know the TV show Adventure Time? Well this post has nothing to do with it. Sorry for getting your hopes up.
I was also thinking about a song by The Goo Goo Dolls called "Let Love In".

But I do have a story to share...

Three men come to the door of a house. They knock on the door. A woman comes to the door, and she tells the three men that her husband is not home, so they will have to wait till later to come back. The men tell her they'll come back later that evening.
Her husband gets home.
An hour later, the trio of men knock on the door. Knock. Knock. Knock. The husband, the wife, and their daughter all go to the door to answer it. The three men explain that the family could only invite one of them to go inside.
The three men were Wealth, Faith, and Love. Almost immediately, the husband calls for Wealth to come in as they have been in bad circumstances for quite some time. At the same moment, the wife calls for Faith to come in. The couple starts to argue, when the wife notices a tug on her shirt. It's her daughter.
And she says, "Why don't you let Love in?"
And with that, the couple let Love come inside the house. All of a sudden, all three men come inside, and the couple is surprised.
Love says, "When you invite Love in, you invite everything into (y)our home."

Twue Love

I was curious...so I decided to look up what many different faiths beliefs in marriage were and instead found a story about what 'true love' really is...

Well, it went something like this, I can't find the story again...

A friend of a friend (and now this is 'random person's online's friend of a friend'), had recently gotten married around age thirty after about two years of courting (dating). Just a few months into their marriage they went to a fair/carnival type place. Boy I bet they regret that decision (I personally love these; my city has done one every year expect for lasteryears ago for whatever reason).

Well, somehow the husband ended up falling out (I can already think of more than fifteen ways this coulda happened...). He ended up going to the hospital and became a quadriplegic.

Now, this is the cool part. They were in what this lady called 'true love' (everyone's definition of true love is different but I believe that this is a pretty good definition of true love). The guy's wife changes his diapers and everything whenever it's needed. Remember, they're in their thirties. That's a ton of diapers. Along with the fact that they can't do things that 'normal couples do'.

So...for anyone asking if they are really in love, you should simply ask yourself this question: Would you be willing to change your spouses diaper forever if they lost function of most of their body just a few months after marriage?

It's a tough question...but do know that you can get over it (I learned that with my grandpa)...well, you can get over the changing the diaper part pretty easy, the smell is hard to get used to (all you with kids know what I'm talking about (yup, I can say I've changed all my nephews diapers...)).

By the way...here is a FANTASTIC song by Parachute called 'Forever And Always' off their album 'The Way It Was'...

The Power of a Hug

I was thinking. Of course, it was about her. We never really hug each other too much.

Well, there comes a time in everybody's life, when everything that could go wrong, goes wrong. Whether it's my family tearing each other apart the day before or nearly losing one of my friends and his incredibly muscular yet not muzzle-wearing dog among other things, I was having one of those times up until yesterday. Well, with a simple hug, she remedied it.

The more often you have something, it seems the less you value it. I never realized that till I was on my home in my blue neon light-filled car listening to the Backstreet Boys oddly enough. When I dropped her off, I had a total Ben moment and my OCD kicked in. She started to leave, a little while later, but then came back for a hug. As I said, we don't hug too often, and in my car on my way back I realized that she recognizes the value that even a simple gesture can have on someone.

She knew I needed that hug. I'm glad for it.

I am very dry (wet?)

Today...i realized something. When you are dry, how easy it to get wet? Very very easy, well maybe if your in the middle of the desert it's harder, but I guess I should consider I'm from Detroit arena, surrounded by waters galore...anyways. It's very easy to get wet, even if your not swimming there are tons of other ways to get yourself hideously fantabulously gloriously terribly wet. You can do it on accident or on purpose. Sometimes the water is mud from a blue ford pick up truck that drove by and you got just a little peeved. Maybe not.

BUT! Notice that once you are wet...it is SOOOOO much harder to get yourself dry than it was to get wet. Aquaman must have a HUGE problem with this. And ya know, I related this to good and evil as I stood there with mud all over myself. Yeah, for some reason I wear t-shirts when it's thirty or forty degrees outside, but I'm a  Detroiter yo...

I thought I should show you a picture of Aquaman. Notice his hair looks fanstastic despite him being in the water. I wish my hair could do that. Really, I bet he uses that good stuff from Australia. It smells awesome. I just need to get myself some of that.

I've gotta ground me own self here........

The term 'good' is used too vaguely these days in the language I know that is called English (I"m trying to learn Spanish and Finnish). Well, in this context good means more of a 'morally and ethically straight'. many people deviate from this path. MANY PEOPLE. Even me. And once you start trudging your wet little feet off the concrete and onto the broken road, it gets a lot harder to get dry. Especially when you think you know a shortcut, but it instead gets you stuck in mud.

The only way to become good or dry, is through repentance, which can be likened to a towel. The towel wipes away all the badness and the evil and mud, but you really need a shower to really get rid of the crud from vehind your earlobes. Haha, I said 'vehind' on accident instead of 'behind'. Haha, I put little quote marks around the word behind. Heeeheee! Errrrr and once you get clean, you can, once again, feel great and look great. You'll still have that image of the trucker forever emblazoned in your mind, (I think we truly don't ever forget anything - we just choose not to remember it or don't understand our own mind well enough or some hullaballoo like that) but you'll still feel fantastic.

EDIT: OH! Oh! And the shower could be the sacrament, which is relaly repentance - BOOM! Double whammy hit right on my own chest WAZZZUUPPP!

Solid Rocks

Those solid pieces of rock that you have in your life are sometimes not as solid as you think. One day, they appear perfectly fine, but all of a sudden, it's dropped and shatters like a piece of glass. You think 'This isn't supposed to happen!'. Normally, this isn't a problem. You just get back up and try to fix it. But, on occasion these 'rocks' are part of our foundation, and we see this 'rock' as something so successful, it never can fail. And when it does...we dunno what to do. Most cases, you never figure out what went wrong as you go through life. And you always wonder: How did that rock shatter?

This is God's thumb, where Zero and Stanley find water and reverse the curse.

What I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't depend on a few 'rocks' totally, cause when one of those rocks shatters, then the aftermath of the shatter is going to hit you a little harder than you ever think it can.

Hmm..that was more of an itchy feeling.
